Hecate
By: Pterota

In her hand,
The flame is eternal.
Forever she is,
And all the same,
Maiden, mother, and crone.

Among the shadows of the night,
Bare feet upon the roads,
Does she walk,
Gathering the offerings
Left in her honor.

Baying of the sacred hounds,
Darkness; time of voice of touch,
Shimmering headdress
Made of moonglow
Present this Lady of the Night.

Artemis, Selene, Demeter
She is of the same.
Giver of the rain,
Queen to witches,
The magick, her being.

To feel her touch
Is to know your soul.
To hear her voice
Is to meet the sky.
Hecate, Goddess of the Moon.
