Darkness is all there is
Darkness is all there has been
And darkness is all there will be for the rest of my life.
That light is gone from inside of my soul.

Glistening bars are all I can see
They whisper of my capture
They know I cannot leave
They hold me captive, inside my own heart.

But now it's gone
I'm all alone
With only an aching memory of you
And these glistening bars surrounding me.

The windows are vanished
They sky has gone blank
The sun will never return.
For you have left me in this lonely place
And I can never return.

I promised myself
So long ago
That I would never be caught.
Yet here I sit
Caught in the madness of my own beaten soul.

I wish to leave this destitute place
And find the happiness I once had.
And happiness must be sought
But cannot be found
Within the empty chambers of my torn heart.
