Anguish
By: Pterota

In the splendor of a silver moon
He raises his magnificent head heavenward
With a mighty cry of distress.

Glistening wings erect as eyes flash red
Daring the stars to fade.

With a flick of his tail
The great world trembles at his feet.

Many a creature flee as blood-stained teeth
And forked tongue are bared.

His muscles bulge with strength
Showing a power never known before...
Yet...
Not even that can conquer a dragon's cry of anguish.
