Protection Spells
Simple Protection

Cast your circle and invite whatever and/or whomever you want present in this working. Inside your circle draw a pentagram with salt or any other natural material like dirt or rocks. Make it large enough for you to sit in the middle without disturbing the pentagram shape. Sit in the center of the pentagram with your legs crossed and hands on top of your knees, open palms facing upward. Visualize a double circle of white light surrounding you and say these words:
"Gracious Goddess
In this pentagram I now sit
Made from the salt (or dirt, or rocks) of thy Earth
I ask thee now to protect me
Day an' night, wherever I may be.
Gracious Goddess
Protect me with your lunar light!"
Wherever you go, visualize that double circle of white light around you and know that it is there always protecting you. It will move with you and always protect you.
Protection Visualization

I use a protection on my home. I use elemental air, water, fire, or earth. What I do is visualize whatever elemental is necessary to protect my home from outside influences. When I am at home, I visualize either a waterfall or a bonfire, or a wind or, in real emergencies, a mountain in front of the doors. I also use a white light visualization for all windows and other openings. This has become a background and constant thing that I do without thinking about it too much.
Now the practical applications: If someone is coming to my home that I know will bring negative energy, I apply whatever ward will lesson or defeat that type of energy, so it does not come into my living space. (I am in an apartment, and people have to buzz in order to gain access so I have time to apply my wards). If someone I don't know is coming--a delivery person or salesman--then I apply a very strong ward, earth or fire. For friends, a light waterfall or breeze will suffice.
For myself, if I am out among the influences and frustrations of the city (bus travel, work stress, etc.) I go through the front door and all of the negative energy gets washed, blown, burned, or ground off, and I can enter my home with a clear mind.
To Protect an Object

With the first and middle fingers, trace a pentagram over the object to be protected. Visualize electric-blue or purple flames streaming from your fingers to form the pentagram. Say this as you trace:
"With this pentagram I lay
Protection here both night and day.
And the one who should not touch
Let his fingers burn and twitch.
I now invoke the law of three:
This is my will, so mote it be!"
Car Protection Charm
(this can be changed to suit mode of travel)

Tie up in red cloth:
- 2 parts rosemary
- 2 parts juniper
- 1 part mugwort
- 1 part comfrey
- 1 part caraway seeds
- 1 small quartz crystal
Empower the charm with the ability to keep your car from breaking down, having flat tires, parts falling off, parts blowing up, etc. Tuck it behind a hubcap or in the glove compartment.

Hold 3 bay leaves in your right hand and stand before your altar. Visualize protecting energy flow down your arm, through your fingers, into the leaves. Your hand may tingle. Call upon the Lord & Lady in your own words for protection. Carry these leaves in your pocket or purse.
